Unveiling the Inner Light
Porcelain, porcelain slip, transparent glaze, 1270 C fired, 31×31×27 cm, 2025.
This illuminated porcelain figure continues my long‑standing dialogue with the mother‑goddess traditions of Anatolia, reinterpreted through a contemporary, introspective lens.
The bowed posture and gently hollowed form reflect a shift toward more personal narratives—those shaped by migration, belonging, and the evolving sense of home. The warm inner light, held within the translucent porcelain body, symbolizes an interior world carried across geographies: memory, resilience, and the quiet strength of the feminine.
Crafted through multiple firings and layered surface treatments, the piece embodies the technical precision and material sensitivity central to my practice.
